Roofing and Building Investigation Reports

Investigative Reports are performed by a Principal and serve to identify the cause of moisture migration problem in an existing facility. As part of this investigative process, often the structural performance of a building is addressed as well. The format of an Investigative Report includes photographs of the problems that are found. Following the photographs is a dialogue which serves to explain the conditions and what specifically is wrong at each location. Usually photographs are taken sequentially as materials are removed so that the problems can better be understood. Following the dialogue of the report is a summary which serves to bring together the key issues found in the investigation. Following the summary are a series of recommendations. This serves to identify for the building owner the various courses of action that are available to correct the problem that exists. Also, a specific recommendation is made at this point.
